Bushfire Consultancy

Bushfire Consultancy

It is a legal requirement that any development proposed to be carried out on bushfire prone land is to satisfy the objectives of ‘Planning for Bushfire Protection 2006’ (a document produced by the New South Wales Rural Fire Service).

AcroCert’s building consultants have undertaken training by the Rural Fire Service and can provide a comprehensive bushfire assessment report which addresses the requirements of ‘Planning for Bushfire Protection 2006’ and Australian Standard AS3959-2009 Construction of Buildings in Bushfire Prone Areas. Unlike other consultants, AcroCert not only recommends the applicable Bushfire Attack Level (BAL), we also provide a detailed list of all construction material options applicable to the development based on the final plans.

The drafting of the report is site specific and involves an on-site inspection as well as assessment of the bushfire threat, topographic conditions and any existing development.

If you are proposing to build on bushfire prone land, whether it be a new structure or alterations and additions to an existing structure, give AcroCert a call for an obligation-free quotation.
